MyCityApp respects your privacy and is committed to protecting your personal data. This privacy policy will inform you of how we look after your personal data when you use our mobile application (regardless of where you are located) and tell you about your privacy rights and how the law protects you.

This privacy policy aims to give you information on how MyCityApp collects and processes your personal data through your use of our App, including any data you may provide through our App when you use any of our services, and the steps you can take to protect your privacy. Our App is not intended for children, and we do not knowingly collect data relating to children.

It is important that you read this privacy policy together with any other privacy policy or fair processing policy we may provide on specific occasions when we are collecting or processing personal data about you so that you are fully aware of how and why we are using your data. This privacy policy supplements other notices and privacy policies and is not intended to override them.

We do not control these third-party websites and are not responsible for their privacy practices and procedures. 2. The Data We Collect About You

Personal data means any information relating to any identified or identifiable natural person. It does not include data where the identity has been removed (anonymous data). We may collect, use, store and transfer different kinds of personal data about you which we have grouped together as follows:

  • Identity Data includes name, username or similar identifier, title, date of birth, photograph/photo ID, gender.
  • Contact Data includes residential/contact address, email address and telephone numbers.
  • Financial Data includes bank account details.
  • Transaction Data includes details about payments to and from you.
  • Technical Data includes internet protocol (IP) address, your login data, browser type and version, time zone setting and location, browser plug-in types and versions, operating system and platform, and other technology on the devices you use to access this App.
  • Profile Data includes your username and password, preferences, feedback, and survey responses.
  • Usage Data includes information about how you use our App, products, and services.
  • Marketing and Communications Data includes your preferences in receiving marketing from us and our third parties and your communication preferences.

We do not collect any Sensitive Personal Data about you (this includes details about your race or ethnicity, religious or philosophical beliefs, sex life, sexual orientation, political opinions, trade union membership, information about your health, and genetic and biometric data). Neither do we collect any information about criminal convictions and offences.

Where we are required to collect personal data, or need it to provide our services to you, and you fail to provide that data when requested, we may be unable to provide the service to you.

Note that disabling these features may impact your ability to access certain functionalities of the App.

Third-Party Processing

  • Service providers acting as processors based in Nigeria who provide various services on the App.
  • Regulators and other authorities based in Nigeria who require reporting of processing activities in certain circumstances.

We require all third parties to respect the security of your personal data and to treat it in accordance with the law.

We have put in place appropriate security measures to prevent your personal data from being accidentally lost, used or accessed in an unauthorized way, altered or disclosed. We have put in place procedures to deal with any suspected personal data breach and will notify you and any applicable regulator of a breach where we are legally required to do so.
